Hello!
My name is Kyle Lamont a freelance designer who resides in Midland,
Ontario. Funktion Design is my freelance business I have been
operating for three years. I am currently looking for work in
the graphics/web design field and/or freelance/contract work.
In
1999 I started school at Georgian College in the Art Fundamentals
Certificate program. I was part of the Georgian Scholarship show
in Art Fundamentals and maintained a 90% average throughout my
3 years at Georgian. In my first year of Graphic Design I won
the CURRY'S SCHOLARSHIP AWARD which recognizes excellence
in illustration. In my final year I won THE NEW VR EXCELLENCE
IN GRAPHIC DESIGN AWARD in the DVA Scholarship Show.
In 2002 I won two MACROMEDIA STUDENT INNOVATOR AWARDS!
First Place for best portfolio site in higher education
(THIS ONE!)
Third Place for best focused site (FOUR the love
of dirt)
You can visit the Macromedia winners gallery at: http://www.macromedia.com/resources/student/innovation/gallery/fall2002.html

My
time outside graphic design fills up quickly. I enjoy snowboarding
(13 years riding), gliding snowshoes (Yupi's?), mountain biking,
hiking, camping, spinning records (vinyl), travel, video editing
as well as woodworking. I have lived in New Zealand for a year
and have traveled down the west coast to California on my mountain
bike. Also, I have lived in Whistler for three years and on a
few gulf islands.
For
a more formal look at my past experience look at my resume. The
photos section includes some digital photography of both personal
enjoyment and professional work.
I
was part of an art show called Smatterings in July 2002 in Penetanguishene,
Ontario. My theme was robotiK organiK and you can view
that work by clicking on the dragonfly invitation below.
Thank-
you for visiting...
